Shortly before 2 a.m., on Friday, Decmeber 3, Sugar Land Police responded to an aggravated robbery at the IHOP in the 16530 Southwest Freeway .
According to reports, two masked intruders entered the back door of the restaurant; one armed with a pistol and the other with a knife. The duo robbed the business with weapons in hand. Responding police units blanketed the area searching for the pair.
Within minutes, Missouri City Police notified Sugar Land that they had a possible suspect vehicle stopped and one occupant had been detained. A second occupant had fled on foot - after being handcuffed. All available units converged on the search area, which was in the 5200 block of State Highway 6 S in Missouri City, to assist. A lengthy search which included assistance from the Houston police department resulted in the discovery of the second suspect as well as evidence of the IHOP robbery.
According to police, evidence linking the two to the IHOP robbery was also recovered in the suspect vehicle. Dashon Blunt, 18, and Charlie Jenkins, 19, both residents of Fresno, were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
