Wednesday afternoon, November 24, about 7 pm., Sugar Land police were called to the Target department store in the 16300 block of the Southwest Freeway to investigate a fraud in progress. When officers arrived on the scene they were able to stop the three suspects in the parking lot to determine just what had happened in the store.
As the investigation unfolded, officers learned that the vehicle the three were operating had fictitious license plates to go along with the 40 some odd fictitious gift and credit cards in the suspect’s possession.
All three were arrested and taken into custody. They face charges of organized criminal activity, credit card abuse, and possession of identifying information; two state jail felonies and one second degree felony.
