A week ago Tuesday Sugar Land police were called to the First Colony Mall to investigate a suspicious vehicle.
About 4:30 that afternoon, mall security contacted police when three people refused to leave the property. When police arrived, they put a stop to the issue and arrested one of the three for disorderly conduct after some offending behavior. While police were helping the detainee into the police car, another one of the party decided to help the arrested man get free… by jumping on the officer. A struggle ensued. That suspect was detained post haste and she too was taken into custody. In the end, all three refusing to leave the mall property were ultimately arrested on various charges and taken to jail.
The officer sustained minor scrapes and abrasions from the altercation. None of arrested were injured
