Richmond police were called to an apartment in the Mustang Crossing Apartments complex at 1818 Mustang Avenue, Monday morning around 12:30 a.m. to investigate a possible motor vehicle burglary in progress. Officers arrived on the scene and were talking with a witness who provided a description of the suspect and his vehicle, a black Cadillac .
According to Richmond Master Sergeant Lowell Neinast, “As the officers were taking the victim’s information, a black Cadillac pulled in the parking lot and officers stopped the vehicle for investigation.” Sitting in the Cadillac was a passenger that matched the description of the suspect provided by the witness, Neinast said.
Travion Fountain, 19, of Richmond, was identified as the car burglary suspect and arrested and charged with Attempted Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, a Class B Misdemeanor. Fountain was transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.
The other passengers in the Cadillac were identified and released at the scene.
