Two Rosenberg brothers were arrested and charged with robbery after they assaulted a man and took his car.
Early Saturday morning, October 9, brothers Marcus and Robert Alonzo had a man give them a ride to several different locations around Rosenberg. When the trio arrived at an apartment complex on Louise Street the brothers began speaking English, a language their driving friend did not understand. Shortly after their exchange in English, the brothers attacked the man who was giving them a ride.
Eventually, the man escaped, ran from the complex. When the victim returned, he realized his car was gone. He called police and reported the incident said Assistant Rosenberg police chief Dallis Warren.
Warren said when police arrived on the scene to take a report, the duo returned to the apartment complex in the victim’s car. Marcus Alonzo, 29, and Robert Alonzo,34, were arrested and charged with robbery and multiple traffic offenses.
Both men were booked into the county jail.
