Two Sienna Plantation men were busted after narcotics agents serve warrants on their homes and find a Hydroponics Marijuana growing operation.
Reported rap singer “Tow Down” aka Bryan Theroit, 36, and his sometimes music producer brother Bernard Theriot, 32, have been arrested for possession and the distribution of marijuana. A group of local, state and federal narcotics agents served warrants on the Theroit brothers at their respective residents last Thursday. According to authorities, agents arrived armed with a search warrant for Bernard Theroit’s home in the 4500 Creek Point Lane in the Sienna Plantation neighborhood of Estates of Silver Ridge in Missouri City.
Hydroponically-grown marijuana with a street value of approximately $4 million was found in a Sienna Plantation sub-division by narcotics agents last week.
Once inside, agents found the second floor of the home was configured as a hydroponics grow environment for some 850 marijuana plants. The “Hydro” grow environment uses water instead of soil to grow the plants as well as special lights and timers. Agents seized approximately 850 marijuana plants from the second floor of the Creek Point Lane home along with weighing scales, hand written ledgers, plastic packaging and numerous other contraband items were located said officials.
That same night an arrest warrant for delivery of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance (Cocaine) and possession of a controlled substance (Hydrocodone) was served on Bernard Theroit’s brother Bryan. Bryan “Tow Down” Theroit was arrested at his home on Chambers Circle, also in Sienna Plantation about 4 miles from Bernard’s residence. Both men are facing charges of possession and distribution of marijuana.
According to county records, at the time of this arrest, Bryan “Tow Down” Theroit was out on $50,000 bond for an earlier drug arrest. In the 2008 “Tow Down” Theroit was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance; second and third degree felonies. County records indicate that “Tow Down” had a court hearing on September 19, 2010 on the 2008 charges. His next scheduled court appearance for the 2008 drug charges is December 6, 2010. That date is listed as a suppression hearing in the 400th District Court of Judge Clifford Vacek.
No court appearances are listed for the new charges for either man.
