Investigating an assault in progress early on the morning of September 18, police find themselves in the middle of a domestic disturbance.
At 7:00 a.m. that Saturday morning Stafford police were called to the 800 block of Robinwood to an assault in progress. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered a woman who had been assaulted and suffered bodily injury.
When the victim’s husband, who was at the back of the ambulance that had arrived on the scene, realized he was being arrested, things went down hill fast. Upon that realization he was going to jail, according to police, he went berserk, damaging the ambulance and medical supplies in the service area of the ambulance.
After the melee in the back of the ambulance, the suspect was taken to a Sugar Land hospital. He was checked by the doctors and released back into police custody. He was immediately booked into the Fort Bend County Jail without further incident.
He now faces charges of Aggravated Assault.
