Richmond police are asking the public to help identify two women they believe are involved in multiple thefts and credit card abuse.
According to Richmond Police Master Sergeant Lowell Neinast, the first theft occurred on August 17, 2010 at a business in the 300 block of Morton Street in the downtown business district of Richmond. Neinast said the two women entered a store and while one suspect distracted an employee, the other took the employee’s purse from behind the counter. In that particular case, the employee’s credit cards were used at a nearby Walgreen’s and a Chevron gas station.
The second case was the next day and involved the same two suspects. Again, they walked into a store and double teamed an employee eventually stealing her purse. In this case, the thieving duo used the stolen credit cards at the Walgreen’s in Richmond and a Walgreen’s in Rosenberg as well as a Shell gas station.
When detectives retrieved store surveillance video the women’s images were visible so police are asking the public to help identify the suspects. Master Sergeant Neinast asked that anyone who recognizes either of the suspects to contact the Richmond Police Department at 281-342-2849.
These two women are also wanted in connection to the same type offenses in Rosenberg as well as Sugar Land. Anyone with information regarding either of these cases may also contact Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
