Multiple car accident snarls traffic on Hwy 6 |

Friday afternoon just minutes before 4 p.m., Sugar Land police were called to the intersection of Highway 6 near Lexington to investigate a multiple car pileup. According to police, the accident covered all northbound lanes of Highway 6 causing the street to be closed for about an hour resulting in a huge traffic snarl. The cause for the closure was to render aid to the accident victims as well as clearing vehicle debris and hazardous liquids from the roadway. No information was available on any of the victims. The roadway was reopened by 5 p.m. |
