Over the last several days Sugar Land police have responded to a myriad of different calls for service.
As August scorched to a close, the crooks made hay in the heat. On August 29, Sugar Land police took a criminal mischief reports in the 13000 block of Kingsmill Drive as well as the 13000 block of Georgetown for damage to mailboxes.
On August 27, burglaries were reported at New York Pizzeria, and Fred Loya Insurance in the 400 block of State Highway 6. A theft was reported at a doctor’s office in the 15200 block of SW Freeway. A theft/shoplifting was reported at JC Penney’s. A criminal mischief was reported at the Outback Steakhouse after a customer returned to the parking lot to find their car scratched. That same evening two burglaries of motor vehicle reports were taken, one at Methodist Orthopedic Center and one at 24 Hour Fitness.
On August 29, a mirror was stolen from a car while the owner shopped at the stores along Town Center Boulevard.
On August 30, a known person took a car without permission in the 2000 block of Settlers Way and a car burglary was reported at Jason’s Deli and another shoplifter was arrested at JC Penney‘s. On the night of the August 30, police made a DWI arrest on Bayview at US 90A.
On August 31, property was reported stolen from a locker at the Lifetime Fitness, a man was arrested for possession of a prohibited weapon after the weapon was discovered during a traffic stop. A drug arrest was made on yet another traffic stop in the 1500 block of Hollybrush. At about 3:30 the same afternoon, an arrest was made for assault and evading in the 15000 SW Freeway after an altercation in a business parking lot. Shortly after 5 p.m. A theft report was taken at Conn’s located at 15235 SW Freeway.
As September fired up, Sugar Land police started the month by taking two residential burglary reports; one in the 12700 block of Blanton Lane and the other in the 13700 block of Larkway Drive. A burglary of motor vehicle was reported at the 24 Hour Fitness and the night closed with a reported theft at Pennison‘s Sports Pub.
September 2 rolled in with a DWI arrest about 2:20 am in the 12800 block of Hwy 6 South and a driveway robbery in the 3200 block of Lakefield Boulevard at 2:41 a.m.
As the day progressed, police took a burglary report in the 3200 block of Vista Lake and another one in the 4700 block of Brookview. A theft of cash was reported at a home in the 600 block Oyster Creek. The evening closed with yet another burglary of motor vehicle at Lifetime Fitness.
Early on the morning of September 3, a vehicle was stolen from the City Walk parking garage.
