On Thursday afternoon, September 2, 2010, at approximately 1:55pm, Rosenberg Police Officer Stephen Clarke responded to a car theft call in the 800 block of Fourth Street. A description of the suspect and suspect’s vehicle was forwarded to other Rosenberg police officers. The suspect vehicle was confirmed as stolen by the Richmond Police Department.

Shortly after Officer Clarke responded to the call, Rosenberg Police Officer Jonathan White located the suspect vehicle in the 700 block of Jenetta Street. Officer White along with other Rosenberg police officers initiated a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Avenue G. The driver, later identified as Eloy Valentine Carrillo, 30 years of age of Richmond, Texas, fled to elude being stopped by Officer White.

Officer White along with other Rosenberg police officers pursued Carrillo through Rosenberg and into the city limits of Richmond. Carrillo stopped in the 200 Block of Houston Street and was taken in custody without incident. Carrillo was charged with Felony Evading Arrest and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Carrillo was transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.
