With the advancements in technology, police have a whole new array of toys, umm, I mean tools. And the crooks, them too! Fifteen years ago phishing was still done in the water!

Back to the bait of a different kind ... bait vehicles. We’ve all seen them on television. The crook trolls the parking lot, slides over near a nice vehicle for a better look, scans the parking lot for predators (aka police) then decides to move in for the snag. Well, snag it was.

A week ago Sunday, Sugar Land police responded to their “bait truck” when the alarm was triggered in a business parking lot. Oh, imagine the crooks surprise when they find themselves surrounded by police cars! You know they had to be asking themselves, of all the stink’n vehicles in this stink’n parking lot, why did we pick that one?

Stink bait!

Yep, technology makes our lives easier but sometimes the end result can really stink.
