At press time few details were available on a domestic double shooting in Stafford.
Early Tuesday morning Stafford police were called to a home in the 800 block of Childers Court when a domestic disturbance ended with a double shooting. Stafford Sergeant James Leedom said Tuesday morning that the case was still unfolding and little information was available. He said police had been notified by a family friend that a shooting had occurred at the residence on Childers Court. According to Leedom, the wife had two gunshot wounds to the back. The husband suffered a single gunshot wound to his face and head.
Leedom said the wife was transported to the hospital and immediately taken in for surgery. The man was going to be transported to Memorial Hermann via Life Flight but once CPR began he was taken by ground ambulance. At press time the husband was in critical condition; the wife was still in surgery, her condition unknown.
Leedom declined to release the names of the two victims, but did acknowledge they were married and in their 50’s.
