FCST Swimmers hit the pool ready to race for their end of season Spring Champs meet in February. The meet was held on two different weekends with the younger swimmers competing in Rosenberg and the older swimmers competing in The Woodlands. FCST swimmers added multiple new Junior National times, Sectional times, and Texas Age Group State (TAGS) times which also qualify them for the next level of competition. In addition, FCST took home the first place trophy for both meets!
Chris Kalmbach achieved his first Junior National time in the 100 Breast at the Spring Champs meet and will join 17 other FCST teammates at the NCSA Junior National meet in Orlando, FL from March 16th – 19th. Additionally, several teammates added to their events for the meet including: Maddie Locus (1650 Free), Antoine Marc (1000 Free), Brett Pinfold (200 Fly, 200 Free), Skylar Smith (100 Back, 200 Back) and Kaitlyn Swinney (200 Breast).
New Sectional times were achieved by first time qualifiers Corey Duke (1650 Free) and Tucker Westfall (200 Fly). Corey and Tucker join 31 other FCST swimmers in qualifying for the Sectional meet which takes place at Texas A&M from March 3rd – 6th and will host swimmers from all over Texas and the country.
Rounding out the championship meet qualifiers are the age group swimmers who qualified for the Texas Age Group State (TAGS) meet. New TAGS qualifiers include Erik Fisher (100 Free), Payton Neff (500 Free, 50 Breast), Shelby Sparacino (50 Free), Peyton Quattlebaum (500 Free), Grace Wey (50 Back), and Charlie Wort (100 Back). These six swimmers will join 22 other FCST teammates in Dallas for their meet which will be from March 10th – 13th.
