Monday, just minutes before 1 p.m., Needville police were called to a local pharmacy on State Highway 36 to investigate a robbery. According to authorities, a man walked into the store and handed the clerk a threatening note demanding specific pain killers. The drugs the note toting man wanted were not on hand. When the suspect was told the store did not have the drugs he was demanding, he ran out the door.
The suspect was identified as a white male wearing a black ski cap, a red shirt, dark jacket and dark pants. He left the store on foot . However, just an hour later, 25 miles to the north, yet another pharmacy was targeted in the same manor. This time the note toting robber walked into a pharmacy in the 9800 block of South Mason Road near Katy.
According to authorities, a white male dressed somewhat like the suspect in the Needville case, entered a pharmacy near Katy, produced a threatening note and demanded specific pain killers. At this store he was successful. He was last seen walking out the front door.
