Pauline Doris Levy Rubin, of Alexandria,
Louisiana died Monday, September 25, 2006. She was a member
of Congregation Gemiluth Chassodim and the Temple
Sisterhood. She was the proud owner of the Needlecraft Shop,
her mother’s business, since the early 1900’s and where many
people from around the country learned the art of
needlework.
Mrs. Rubin is survived by her daughter,
Shirley Rubin Brown and husband Marshall of Sugar Land,
Texas. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Brent
and wife, Sonya of Boston, Massachusetts, Michael and wife
Sherri of Manvel, Texas, Lauren Brown of Chiang Mai,
Thailand, Gene Rubin of Demorest, Georgia, and four great
grandchildren, Andrew, Justin, Madison and Parker Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent
to the Congregation Gemiluth Chassodim, 2021 Turner Street,
Alexandria, Louisiana 71301, or to the charity of your
choice.
Rabbi Arnold Task held services at 4:00
P.M., Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at the Jewish Cemetery
in Pineville, Louisiana. Arrangements have been entrusted to
John Kramer & Son, Alexandria, LA.
