 JOYCE
M. VAHALIK-HOLSTER, age 55, of Stafford, passed away Monday,
January 30, 2006. She was born April 8, 1950 to Edmund R.
Vahalik, Jr and Magdaline Mary “Maggie” Hermes Vahalik Ebner.
In 1969 Joyce graduated high school in Shiner, TX and she
then attended Wagner’s Nursing School and graduated in 1971.
She married Calvin Ray Holster, Sr. in Moulton, TX on
December 11, 1971 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Joyce was
a member of the Catholic Daughters, and the Carmelite
Organization, where she obtained her scapular. She
participated in the San Jacinto Girl Scout Program and was
also a member of the Texas LVN Nursing League. She is
survived by her husband, Calvin Ray Holster, Sr.; son,
Calvin Ray Holster, Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Holster;
granddaughter, Taylor Michelle Holster; sisters, Rebecca Cyr
and her husband Frank, Sarah Hamilton and her husband Mike,
Nelda Kaiser and her husband Vernon, Barbara Ward and her
husband Anthony, Emily Drozd and her husband Mark, Mary
Gayle DeBord and husband Kenneth; brothers, Edmund R.
Vahalik, III and wife Kathy, David Vahalik and his wife
Melitta, and Charles Vahalik and wife Debra.A Visitation
was held February 1, 2006, Earthman Southwest Chapel, 12555
South Kirkwood, Stafford, with a Rosary recited at 7:30 PM.
Mass of the Resurrection was held, February 2, 2006, 10:00
AM, Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 Fifth St., Missouri
City, TX 77489. A Rosary and Vigil Service was also held on
Thursday, February 2, 2006, at 4:00 PM, St. Ann’s Catholic
Church, 4000 Block of State Highway 111 West, Petersville,
TX. Rite of Committal followed in St. Ann’s Cemetery,
Petersville, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family
Catholic Church. Services were conducted under the direction
of Earthman Southwest Chapel, 12555 South Kirkwood,
Stafford, TX. |
