Jettie
Ann McNamara Court, age 74, of Stafford, Texas, passed away
Friday, January 13, 2006. The daughter of George Edwin and
Lois Margaret Blanz McNamara, she was born December 31, 1931
in Memphis, Tennessee.
Jettie graduated in 1953 with a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Zoology from McNesse College. She
worked as a Bacteriologist for the City of Houston County
Lab from 1953 to 1965.
Jettie was a member of many
organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the
Houston Fiber Artists Association, the Quilt Guild of
Houston, the Parkinson Foundation of Harris County, the Zeta
Tau Alpha Mother’s Club, the Alpha Phi Mother’s Club, and
the American Contract Bridge League, Unit 174, with a Life
Master award.
She is survived by her loving and devoted
husband, Julius Charles “JC” Court; daughters, Margaret Mary
Court, Jettie Leigh Kutach and her husband Michael, and
Julie Court Talty and her husband Bernard; son, Julius
Damian “Jody” Court and his wife Terri; sisters, Marilyn
Maley and Beverly Marcus; grandchildren, Evan Michael Kutach,
Grant Alexander Kutach, Jettie Kaylor Court, and Jacob
Christopher Court; and numerous nieces, nephews, and
friends.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at
10:00 AM Friday, January 20, 2006, at Holy Family Catholic
Church, 1510 Fifth St., Missouri City. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation,
1501 N.W. Ninth Avenue, Bob Hope Blvd., Miami, Florida
33136-1494.
