Edward
James “Zak” Zakrzewski, age 84 of Sugar Land, died Mon. Nov.
21, 2005. He was born Sept. 19, 1921 in Ham-tramck, MI, the
son of the late Stephan and Stefania Kurkowski Zakrzewski.
He was a student at St. Florian’s School, and trained as a
Master Bricklayer/Stone Mason early in life. He married
Armandina Gubbiotti on June 11, 1955 in Detroit MI. They
moved to Sugar Land, TX in 1979.
He was a 40-year member of the
Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers, Local 1 of Michigan, a
27-year member of Knights of Columbus, St. Basil Council
4204 and a member of St. Laurence Catholic Parish.
He leaves behind his beloved wife,
Armandina of Sugar Land; devoted
daughters, Marymargaret and Kathleen Ann of Sugar Land; his
dear sister-in-law, Michelina (Mickey) Iacovo Morgan of
Highlands Ranch, CO; nephews, Steven L. Morgan and wife,
Tara, and David V. Morgan of Highlands Ranch, CO; nieces
Linda Zakrzewski of Warren MI, and Linda K. Morgan
Techeniten and husband, Mark, of Highlands Ranch CO; his six
great-nieces and great-nephews; plus, his faithful dog,
Lucky. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday,
November 29, 2005 at St. Laurence Catholic Parish, 3100
Sweetwater Blvd, Sugar Land, TX.
