John Henry Simmons was born in Ohio on February 15, 1939 but called Vicksburg, Mississippi his home.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris, two sons, one sister and four grandchildren.

John was known by all who knew him as a very loving, honest and outspoken man who loved God and his family.

John will be missed by many friends and family members. He made an impact on the life of everyone he met. John is now one of God’s angels.
