Audrey Eleanor Taylor, age 79, of Richmond, Texas died Thursday, July 3, 2008, following a long battle of Alzheimer’s disease. She
was born on March 29, 1929 in Providence, Rhode Island to Eleanora and Chester McLean. Audrey moved to Texas in 2003 to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
Audrey lived in Cranston, Rhode Island for most of her adult life. She was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and was a teacher with the East Providence School Department. Audrey taught Home Economics at Riverside Junior High and later at East Providence High School. She
retired from the school department in 1996.
Survivors include her five children, Lynne Baker and husband Larry of Richmond, TX, Lizbeth Taylor of Fairbanks, AK, Patricia Taylor of Lynn, MA, Steven Taylor and wife Latifa of VA and Karen Momanaee and husband Mohamad, also of Richmond, TX; her one sibling, Frederick McLean of
Duxbury, MA; and her grandchildren, Audrey Momanaee and husband, Jeffrey Levett, Darian Momanaee and Mariam and Hannah Taylor. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 19 years, Edwin H. Taylor, also of Cranston.
A private family ceremony will be held in Rhode Island.
