Margaret Dorothy Horn was born December 13, 1914, in Ellinger, Texas, to Margaret and Homer Johnson. She died June 25, 2008, in Sugar Land, TX. She moved with her parents and her sister Helen to Sugar Land in 1918. She married her high school
sweetheart, Gifford Horn in 1937. Gifford worked for Sugar Land Industries his whole life and together they raised their children on a ranch just north of town. With horses, cows, donkeys, and many friends, weekends at the Horns were an exciting and loving adventure. She moved back into town
after Gifford’s death in 1964.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Gifford, and her sister, Helen Fendley. She is survived by her children – Amy Kelton and her husband Pat, Paul Horn and his wife Shary, Alec Horn and his wife Yvonne, and Kathy Kozlovsky and her husband Ronnie. She is
also survived by her grandchildren Brian Horn, Betsy Thompson, Alexis Horn, Jennifer Elverud, Jonathan Kozlovsky, niece Sherry Hirsch, and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held 2 PM Sunday, June 29, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church, Sugar Land, TX. Burial was in Morton Cemetery, Richmond, TX.
