James
Russell Rohrer, JR., age 90, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed
away Saturday, September 1, 2007. He was born April 22,
1917, in Beaumont, Texas.
James was a World War II veteran, and
served in the U.S. Navy in San Antonio, Tacloban, Leyte,
Philippine Islands. He retired from REA Express and the Gulf
Coast Lines Employee’s Hospital Association.
James is preceded in death by his wife of
fifty-eight years, Alice Elizabeth “Beth” Rohrer.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary
Evelyn Baker; brother, Robert Rohrer of Edgewood, WA;
brother, Charles E. Rohrer and his wife Gay of Boulder, CO;
sister-in-law, June Rohrer of Shepherd, TX; and many nieces
and nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, September 5, 2007,
6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, St. Theresa Catholic Church, 115 Seventh
St., Sugar Land, TX, with a Vigil and Rosary from 7:00 PM to
8:00 PM. Mass of the Resurrection: Thursday, September, 6,
2007, 10:00 AM, St. Theresa Catholic Church, with the Rev.
Stephen B. Reynolds, Celebrant. Rite of Committal: Forest
Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made
to the Building Fund at St. Theresa Catholic Church, or to
the charity of choice.
