Funeral
services for Dorothy Mae Harrington (Dot), 90, of Sugar
Land, were held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 18, 2007
in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg
with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in
Rosenberg. Rev. Neil McClendon officiated the services.
Visitation was held from 5:00-9:00 P.M.,
Monday, September 17, 2007 in the Stateroom of Davis-Greenlawn
Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Dot was born September 25, 1916 in Inez,
Texas to the late Anthony and Aprilla (Brock) Powell and
lived her entire adult life in Sugar Land, Texas. She was a
member of First Baptist Church of Sugar Land and was also a
volunteer at the Sugar Land Healthcare Center. Dot enjoyed
spending time with her family and all her friends, in person
and on the phone. She loved to watch Johnny Carson, read &
share books, watch NASCAR (well just Jeff Gordon), and do
crossword puzzles and most recently she enjoyed playing
Bingo. She passed away September 15, 2007 in Houston, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband,
Bryant Harrington.
She is survived by daughters: Judy
Diamond and husband Fred, Kathy Spillers and husband Ray,
Robbie Raska and husband Marion; grandchildren: Wesley and
Courtney Raska, Curtis Raska, Ashley Spillers, Trent, Rex
and Cyndi Cooke; great grandchildren: Taylor Cooke, Austin,
Cody, and Trent Cooke Jr; sisters: Mickey Crenshaw, Sue
Chiles and husband Sonny, Lou Markwardt and husband Roy;
along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other
family and friends.
