Timeless Movie series

Sugar Land Town Square offers favorites movie series. Friday, July 25, 9 p.m., in the Plaza the 1982 movie “Annie” will be shown.

Hot Summer Concert Series continues

Friday, July 25, 7 p.m., Rosenberg presents Rob Darian and The Outside Dogs bringing old school honky-tonk & southern rock. All concerts are held rain or shine at Bill Butler’s Third Street Park between Ave F & G, in historic downtown district.

July 26 - Concert in the Plaza

D.R.U.M., a group of drummers that combine continental African rhythms with a dose of jazz, funk, R&B and Latin influences to create a rich, earthy sound in the Plaza at Sugar Land Town Square Plaza, Saturday, July 26, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Painting contest just for dogs

Morton Street Gallery, 214 Morton St., Richmond, is holding this contest Saturday, July 26, 10 a.m. until noon. Bring your pooch on a leash to Morton Street Gallery & let him show off his skills. Entry fee is $5. They will furnish paper, paint & clean up bowl. Prize for Best of Show is gift certificate from Petsmart & a paste painting of your pet.

Blood drive for Quail Valley resident

Bunky (Brian) Jones needs you to donate blood for him. He is a long time resident of QV. A blood van will be at the Quail Valley parking lot Saturday, July 26, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Those wishing to donate can email his wife Pat at patjonesatwork@hotmail.com.

St. Theresa’s Musica Sacra Concert series

St. Theresa Catholic Church, 115 Seventh St., Sugar Land, will host this free sacred music concert “American Inspirations” Saturday, July 26, 7:30 p.m. Organ masterworks celebrating America’s contribution to greatness featuring two world premieres.
