Ms. Dana Catherine Ellis and Mr. Jason Alan Pate were united in marriage on Saturday August 4, 2007 at seven o’clock in a garden ceremony in Rosenberg, Texas. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Ken Gimmi with music provided by a string quartet.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted an outdoor reception at Haven on the Brazos. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Johnny Carino’s.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ellis of Missouri City, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Pate of Webster, Texas.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless gown with corset back designed by Sottero & Midgley. The gown featured a pleated bodice gently falling to the hip with a satin ribbon and crystal brooch accenting the natural waistline and a narrow A-line skirt silhouette. To complement her gown, the bride chose an elbow length veil with delicate ribbon edging and a tiara. As her something old, the bride wore an antique silver bracelet worn by her mother and grandmother at their weddings. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of hydrangeas and ivory roses.

Mrs. Laura Irvine, sister of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids included Ms. Jennifer Grantham and Ms. Maggie Gladson. Serving as Flower Girls were Miss Katie Irvine and Miss Jessie Irvine, nieces of the bride, and Miss Claire Dempsey, cousin of the bride.

Mr. Jonathan Miller served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. Michael Pate, brother of the groom, and Mr. Jarrett Long. Master Ryan Dempsey, cousin of the bride, served as the ring bearer. Mr. Kris Payne and Mr. Chris Pardini served as ushers.

Dana is a graduate of Elkins High School and Texas State University - San Marcos where she received a B.F.A. in Communication Design. She is employed as an Assistant Art Director for a distribution company. Jason graduated from Clear Brook High School and Texas State Technical College where he received an A.A.S. in Computer Maintenance Technology. He is employed as a Systems Administrator in the health care industry.
