Miss Haley Ann Harris Weds Mr. Chad Jason Millis


Miss Haley Ann Harris and Mr. Chad Jason Millis were united in marriage on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 7 o’clock in the evening at First United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Charles Thompson of First United Methodist Church. Music for the ceremony was provided by JLM Chamber Music – Boolean String Quartet and soloist, Danny Everitt. The scripture readings were given by the aunt of the bride, Mrs. Susan Harris Hohnbaum of Sugar Land, Texas and Mrs. Sherie Aubuchon of The Woodlands, Texas , aunt of the groom. A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, immediately followed at The Corinthian with entertainment provided by David Caceres and Nobody’s Fool. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Vic & Anthony’s.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Stewart Harris of Sugar Land, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Fred Joseph Curry of Missouri City, Texas and Mr. & Mrs. Emil Lamont Harris of Sugar Land, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mr. Jason Hugh Millis and Mrs. Cynthia Gayla Millis of Sugar Land, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Clyde Wayne Millis of Sugar Land, Texas and Mrs. LaVon Bankhead of Houston, Texas.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless silk Barathea gown with Alencon lace appliquÈ by Liancarlo. To compliment her gown, the bride wore a cathedral length veil and blusher accented with imported lace that matched her gown. The bride carried an all ivory bouquet composed of dendrobium orchids, hydrangea, mini callas, roses, freesia, and stephanotis.

The bridal party wore European satin strapless gowns in chocolate brown designed by Bill Levkoff. They carried bouquets of leonidas roses, orange spray roses, flame callas, orange arandas orchids, black magic roses, and green antique hydrangea.

Serving as her maid of honor was Ms. Jacqueline Michelle Horn of Houston, Texas. Bridesmaids were Ms. Haley Michelle Millis, Ms. Lana Patricia Thomas, Ms. Samantha McKenzie Watts, and Mrs. Rachel Robyn Jones all from Sugar Land, Texas and Mrs. Laura Leigh Koch from Conroe, Texas. Serving the bride as flower girl was Ms. Sophia Kate Malone of Houston, Texas.

Mr. Chase Michael Millis of Sugar Land, Texas served as best man. Groomsmen included Mr. Chad Stewart Harris and Mr. Jonny Dale Thomas of Sugar Land, Texas and Mr. Joshua John Hebert, Mr. Brian Joseph Lobo, and Mr. Justin Daniel Moers of Houston, Texas. Serving as ring bearer was Mr. Hudson Stewart Harris of Sugar Land, Texas. Mr. Samuel Jason Jones of Sugar Land, Texas, Mr. Marshall Wayne Millis of Richmond, Texas, Mr. Eric Stephen Long of Austin, Texas and Mr. Rudy Gutierrez of Sugar Land, Texas served as ushers.

Haley is a 2000 graduate of Kempner High School. She attended The University of Houston and graduated in 2005 with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Currently she is employed at Harris Construction as the Administrative Manager. Haley is a 2007 graduate of the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce Leadership Forum and a member of the Fort Bend Go Texan Rodeo Committee.

Chad is a 2000 graduate of Kempner High School. He is also a 2003 graduate of The University of Texas where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Chad is currently employed with Millis Development and Construction as a Project Manager.

Following their honeymoon to the island of Great Exuma in the Bahamas, the couple will reside in their newly built home in Richmond, Texas.
