Mission Statement
The mission of Child Advocates of Fort Bend is to provide a voice to speak on behalf of
abused and neglected children who are involved in the legal system through trained court
appointed volunteers and community participation.
Additional Information
Child Advocates of Fort Bend is a not-for-profit organization that successfully works on
behalf of child victims of abuse (ages birth to 18) through four advocacy programs. The
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program trains volunteers to advocate for abused
children in family court. Family Assistance volunteers provide in-home preventive services
to at-risk families. Diligent Search volunteers are trained to locate extended family
members of children in foster care. The Children's Advocacy Center is a child-focused
facility designed to lessen the trauma suffered by child victims of sexual abuse. It also
provides a multi-disciplinary approach to the investigation, treatment and prosecution of
child sexual abuse cases.
