Mission Statement
To provide adult support to children from single parent families so they can grow into
productive members of the community.
Additional Information
Serves children through one to one matches with carefully screened adult volunteers.
Matches are made by geographic area and common interests. Each match is supported by a
case manager. Matches participate in a variety of athletic, educational, entertainment,
cultural or artistic activities according to their interests and the child's needs.
Generally, the match goals focus on academic skills, exposure/enrichment, social skills,
and self-esteem. Activities are provided for the matches by the Agency 10-12 times per
year; activities are also provided quarterly for the children who are still waiting to be
matched.
