Chairman of Jason’s Journey, Pat Hebert invites the community to help out for a cause in support of a loved one, a Fort Bend native and Richmond resident, who graduated from Elkins High School. She’s inviting community friends and caring supporters to a very special event on July 29. It is a fundraiser for 31- year old Jason L. Elliot, who has been battling cancer since 2008. “He has endured a long course of treatment and faces many more months of care and extensive treatment,” she explains. At this time, he’s waiting for the next step of treatment involving a high dose of chemotherapy with stem cell transplantation.
Jason L. Elliot is married to Kimberly and they are the parents of 2-year old Roman. His parents, long-time residents of Quail Valley for many years, Rhea and Brady Elliot, along with many friends are hosting a fundraiser to help with a tremendous financial burden that the young family is facing.
The business or casual attire special fundraiser being organized is set for Thursday, July 29, 6 – 10 p.m. at Safari Texas Ranch. Tickets are $40/person and RSVPs are kindly requested. Live and silent auctions will be held and sponsorships are currently available. Table for eight sponsorships are as follows: Platinum - $1,500, Gold - $1,000 and Silver - $500. Monetary contributions may be made out to Fort Bend Forward, INC. and the money will go exclusively to Jason’s cancer treatment fund.
Cancer touches the lives of so many and with the community’s help, this fundraiser for Jason can turn out to be a most successful and meaningful event. Joins us in a celebration of life and contribute in your own special way to help Jason with the treatment he needs for his next journey.
Hebert is asking for assistance as a sponsor, the purchase of tickets, or that you simply make a donation.
